AboutThe Photography Club aims to bring the art form of photography back to the student body of the University of Pittsburgh. We want to create a place for our fellow students, with or without prior talent or experience in photography, to come participate in, learn about, and discuss what it means to be a photographer and foster learning of the art.

Who can join?
|
Any student at the University of Pittsburgh is invited to join! We welcome all skill levels- no prior experience is necessary. Ownership of a photographic (not motion) camera is recommended, but not required.
|
What do we do? |
In our meetings, we hold sessions to get members acquainted with photography and teach them how to operate camera and lighting equipment as well as how to compose a good shot.
Outside of our weekly meetings, we organize trips across Pittsburgh to take photos, and then hold photo critiques to talk about what to work on for next time. Finally, we seek out new photo gallery openings across the city to attend as a group, and want to eventually hold a gallery opening of our own to showcase some of our members' great work. |
